Pottery Workshop

“Pottery”, one of the oldest and most widespread decorative arts, consisting of objects made of clay and
hardened with heat.

The objects made are commonly useful ones, such as vessels for holding liquids or plates or bowls from which food can be served. Indian Pottery plays an important role in studying culture and reconstructing the past.

A pottery workshop is an immersive, hands-on experience designed to introduce participants to the art of shaping clay, often serving as a therapeutic escape from daily routines. These sessions, commonly lasting 1 to 2.5 hours, focus on techniques such as wheel throwing (shaping clay on a spinning wheel) or hand-building (pinching, coiling, and slab techniques)

Guests will be taken to Kunda Village, a traditional craft village where around 50 potter families reside, and pottery is their primary livelihood. They will be shown how pottery is done using age-old techniques passed down through generations and will also have the opportunity to take part in the process themselves.

This immersive experience offers a unique glimpse into the local culture, craftsmanship, and daily life of the artisans.
